Beaumaris lifeboat tasked to a boat suspected to have suffered engine failure.
The volunteer crew members of the R N L I Beaumaris lifeboat received a immediate readiness message at 11.45 am from the U.K Coastguard, which subsequently resulted in the lifeboat being launched.
The Beaumaris lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington was launched at 11.55 am and proceeded towards Menai Bridge. A report had been received of a 14 foot rigid inflatable apparently anchored due to engine failure.
The U.K. Coastguard had been unable to contact the vessel on VHF radio and requested the lifeboat launch to investigate, the Bangor Mobile Coastguard Rescue Team was also tasked to attend.
Whilst the lifeboat was in transit the first informant advised that the motor boat had now picked up a mooring in Menai Bridge and the crew had gone ashore and left in a car.
In view of this development the lifeboat was released to return to her station at 12.04 pm being refuelled and prepared for her next service call by 12.45 pm.
