The Sun was shining and the public came out to support the charity. More than 300 people turned up.

The event offered a Tombola, BBQ and refreshments. There were also games and tasks for the children.

The volunteers talked to people so they could find out more about the station. water safety was high on the agenda and the information was well received.

Music was provided by Pot of Gold Shanty Crew in the boat Hall.

At the end of the day the station's D class lifeboat Russell Pickering was launched and gave a display with the Pot of Gold Shanty Crew moving to the beach to sing as it passed. This provided a fitting end to the day.

The station raised over £800 on the day which was a fantastic amount in the current economic climate. The station extends a huge 'thank you' to all who attended and supported the event.

The day also provided an opportunity for people to find out about the rewarding opportunities on offer to join the team at Happisburgh. Many people showed an interest, and the station team hopes to see them in the near future.

For anyone who is interested in joining, the station has opportunities for people to join as crew, Shore Crew, a Launch Authority or mechanic.

There are also roles available within the shop team.

To find out more, people are welcome to visit the station on a Tuesday evening or Sunday Morning to meet the crew.
