Volunteers from Teignmouth RNLI raise £5,000 - and counting
Lifeboats News Release
A huge congratulations to our incredible RNLI volunteers Anne and Rosie, for completing the 2025 TCS London Marathon and raising an amazing £5,000 for the RNLI.
Both Anne and Rosie are familiar faces at Teignmouth RNLI. Anne is part of the volunteer boathouse visits crew, warmly welcoming visitors and helping to share the lifesaving work of the station with visitors. Whilst Rosie is our station’s Training Officer, supporting the operational crew in maintaining the high standards of training required for rescue work, she also previously served as a boat crew member herself.
Wendy, Teignmouth RNLI Fundraising Chair, said “Anne and Rosie have shown true dedication and determination not only in training for and running the marathon, but in their incredible efforts to raise vital funds to help save lives at sea.”
Anne said I’m so pleased to have been able to run in support of Teignmouth RNLI. The station means so much to me and it’s been a privilege to take on the marathon knowing every step helps the RNLI’s lifesaving work. I’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who donated and cheered us on.”
Rosie added, “running the marathon was an incredible experience. I'm so grateful to everyone who supported us and helped us reach such a fantastic amount of money.”
Everyone at Teignmouth RNLI extends a huge congratulations to them both for their achievement’s!
