Lymington RNLI called to assist a boat aground near Lymington.
Another late night call for the Lymington voluntary crew. At 11.11pm last night the pagers sounded and the crew assembled at the lifeboat station.
They had been requested by HM Coastguard to assist a boat aground on the marshes to the West of Lymington River.
The lifeboat quickly located the vessel with 3 persons on board and assessed the situation. They were fit and well and the crew requested that they put lifejackets on. The crew decided the best course of action was to assist the vessel in to Lymington. They arrived at 00.04am and the casualties were handed over the Lymington Coastguard Rescue Team and given appropriate safety advice.
The lifeboat was then refuelled and readied for service.
Crew - Declan O’Riordan (Helm), Simon Nuding, Simon Naylor, Jo Styles.
