Mudeford RNLI Funday is back with fun, food and lifesaving action on 10 August
Mudeford RNLI’s biggest community event of the year is back! The much-loved Mudeford RNLI Funday returns to Mudeford Quay and Green on Sunday 10 August, promising a packed day of family fun, live entertainment and spectacular lifeboat demonstrations – all in support of the local volunteer crew.
Kicking off at 11.00am, the event will be officially opened by the Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr Viv Charrett, with a full programme running throughout the day.
Local DJ Malcolm Evans will get the party started, with live music from The Navy Larks, Lee Rosetti, and the popular Coda Ukulele Band keeping the festival vibes going.
A funfair, stand-up paddleboard (SUP) races, the ever-popular Duck Race, and a wide range of stalls selling food, drink, arts and crafts will offer something for everyone. Families and foodies won’t want to miss the RNLI Crew BBQ, always a firm favourite with visitors.
The RNLI village on the quay will be selling cakes, souvenirs, books, raffle & tombola tickets and feature a silent auction for some amazing artwork.
Lifeboat enthusiasts will enjoy live rescue demonstrations by the Mudeford RNLI volunteer crew, showcasing the skills and teamwork that go into saving lives at sea.
There’s also a vintage car display by the Dorset Austin 7 Club, adding a classic twist to the day.
To make access easier, a park-and-free ride service will operate from Two Riversmeet car park, with drop-offs right at the entrance to Mudeford Quay. Friendly pets are welcome to join in the fun.
