Bude Lifeboat day demonstration at Summerleaze Beach

Held across multiple locations in Bude including the Lifeboat station, Summerleaze beach, Castle Grounds, The Wharf, Brendon Arms and more, this year’s event promises to be a day of fun and community. The event will culminate in a spectacular firework display at 9:10 pm, which has been sponsored by The Brendon Arms and The Falcon Hotel.

From 10 am – 4 pm, the Lifeboat station will be open for tours, with a static display from the Bude Coastguard Rescue team. Children are invited to take part in a treasure hunt on Summerleaze beach at 1pm, followed by a search and rescue demonstration with Bude Lifeboat at 2pm. Pasties will be available from 10 am.

The Castle Grounds and Bude Light will be hosting a full day of entertainment from 10 am – 4 pm, including charity stalls and games, various food vendors and live music and performances.

At the Canal, Barkhouse Green and Wharf, traditional rowing races will commence at 10 am, with family amusement rides and displays of classics cars continuing into the evening. Some other highlights include live music and dancing, a canoe polo tournament and a hog roast BBQ.

Starting at 12 pm, the Brendon Arms and Falcon Hotel will be hosting the famous pasty competition, followed by an auction. Performances and live music will continue into the evening and after the firework display.

Bude Lifeboat Day is set to be a wonderful fundraising event, supporting the RNLI’s mission to save lives at sea. All proceeds raised on the day will go directly towards supporting the charity’s volunteer crews.

The event has been kindly sponsored by Bank Aston, Wooda Farm Holiday Park, The Bay View Inn, Paul Finn Solicitors, LCH Vehicle Hire, and the firework display has been sponsored by The Brendon Arms and The Falcon Inn.

Join us for a fantastic day of fun, music, food and fundraising!
