RNLB Roy Barker VI tows in the casualty vessel
The volunteer crew made their way to the lifeboat station and launched RNLI Shannon class all-weather lifeboat RNLB Roy Barker VI to assist.

After leaving the harbour, the lifeboat crew soon had sight of the casualty vessel and the lifeboat made best speed towards their position.

After reaching the casualty and carrying out an assessment, the vessel was taken under tow towards Troon harbour.

Once at the harbour, the casualty vessel was berthed with the assistance of the Ayr Coastguard Team before the lifeboat then returned to the berth where it was made ready for service with the assistance of the shore crew.
