Police incident and vessel fire leads to back-to-back shouts for Angle RNLI

Lifeboats News Release

Angle all-weather lifeboat was requested to launch at 11.14pm last night alongside Dale and St Govan’s Coastguard Rescue Teams, to assist the police with an ongoing incident in the Pembroke Dock area.

The lifeboat was soon on scene and after standing by for 20 minutes the situation was resolved by the police. With no further assistance required the crew were stood down to return to station.

No sooner had the lifeboat departed the scene they were retasked to a vessel with four persons onboard reported to have a fire in their wheelhouse.

The lifeboat made best speed to the area and was on scene shortly after. Once on scene, it became apparent that the fire was now believed to be out, so the crew stood by while fire crews boarded the vessel to confirm. Dale Coastguard Rescue Team were also retasked to assist.

With the fire confirmed out and all persons safe the crew were stood down just after 1am.
