After consultation with the Duty Coxswain and due to the location of the Casualty, access by the D class inshore lifeboat would be difficult due to the rocky coastline. With better and more direct access from the shore, the decision was made to take the station Land Rover with Casualty Care trained crew to assist Ambulance and Ayr Coastguard Rescue Team.

The lifeboat crew attended providing assistance and the casualty taken to hospital by ambulance.

With this the crew stood down and returned to station before heading out on their weekly exercise.

Don’t forget that on Saturday 26 July 2025 from 11am until 4.00pm there’s an opportunity to see behind the scenes at our lifeboat station as the station opens its doors to the public for our annual Open Day.
