The lifeboat proceeded at top speed to the given location by the Coastguard, near Lymington Bank. Communication came through that the casualties had been taken in onboard by another yacht. The lifeboat placed a crew member onboard to check the 3 casualties and given casualty care. The lifeboat checked to see if the boat was visible but it had completed sunk.
The casualties were kept on the yacht and escorted back to the Royal Lymington Yacht Club. Casualty Care was give to all three and one person was transferred over into the care of the ambulance service.
Helm James Lever said, “The casualties did exactly the right thing in calling for help when they did and were all wearing lifejackets. We don’t know what caused the boat to sink, but the Solent experienced some sudden usual weather conditions last night.”
