Abersoch RNLI tasked to assist drifting jet ski.

Lifeguards News Release

The volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard at 1.46pm on Saturday 31st May following reports of a jet ski drifting beyond the old lifeboat station towards St Tudwals islands with one person on board.

The Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat was launched at 1.54 pm in a moderate south westerly wind and arrived on the scene at 2.17pm. The jet ski, which had suffered an electrical fault,had been towed to Machroes beach by a member of the public.

The volunteer crew proceeded to the beach to locate the casualty vessel and owner to ensure that he was safe and well and required no medical assistance. The lifeboat left the scene and returned to the station at 2.30pm.
