The course dealt with issues that included life threatening bleeds, CPR, AED use, and types of stretchers.

RNLI Clinical trainer Olivia Davison said 'They were a really good bunch of volunteers to work with and all of them successfully passed the course. Hopefully the skills they have learnt during the three days will not be needed but they are all very confident and ready to go should an incident occur.'

Hartlepool RNLI crew member Andy Johnson said 'The Casualty Care course was really good. We were shown how to deal with a variety of injuries then had to deal with scenarios ourselves to show the trainer how we deal with an injured person or persons using the methods we had been showed by the trainer.
