The lifeboat was initially put on 'Immediate Readiness' whilst Poole lifeboat made its way to the scene.

Once Poole were on scene they requested that Swanage Lifeboat launched to assist in the search. The lifeboat was soon afloat and making best speed towards Bournemouth.

Ten minutes after launching information was received from the UK Coastguard that the missing person had been found ashore so all SAR units were stood down to return to their stations.
