Exmouth RNLI charity fundraiser raises over £6000 towards saving lives at sea
On Friday 8 August 2025 Exmouth RNLI volunteer fundraisers held an event hosted by the GWRSA Railway Club. “Rockin’ for the RNLI” was the brainchild of volunteer and fundraiser, Gary Noble, whose own story of survival inspired him to become a volunteer at Exmouth RNLI.
The live music event was hosted by the Railway Club who laid on their famous “chilli and sides”, with music courtesy of the rock band, “Snake Eyes”. The main event sponsor was Exmouth’s Dolphin Hotel and numerous local businesses generously donated raffle prizes. Exmouth RNLI volunteers sold over a massive two thousand tickets, all of which contributed to valuable funds that will continue to help save lives at sea. The event was a sell-out with an incredible one hundred and thirty-seven tickets sold, and the evening was deemed a roaring success by all who attended! All in all, the fundraisers of Exmouth RNLI raised an incredible £6,177 for the RNLI.
Exmouth RNLI volunteer and fundraiser, Gary Noble, led the organisation of the event. Afterwards, Gary had a message for everyone who contributed to the event. He said, “I just want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude, on behalf of all the volunteers at Exmouth RNLI, for your generous support of our recent RNLI fundraising event held on at The GWRSA Railway Club. Your contribution plays a crucial role in helping us continue our vital work in saving lives at sea.
Thanks to the generosity of all our supporters, we raised an incredible £6,177 which will ensure that the RNLI remains equipped and ready to respond when the pager goes. The charity’s mission is “to save every one” and we sincerely appreciate your kindness, dedication and commitment to our cause. Together, we are making a significant difference! Thank you for supporting our RNLI fundraising event!”
