RNLI Invites Supporters to Host a Cuppa for the Crew and Help Save Lives at Sea
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is calling on its supporters to host a Cuppa for the Crew this summer and raise money for the charity.
Launched last month, Cuppa for the Crew is a brand-new campaign encouraging people to host a tea or coffee event to fundraise for the RNLI’s brave volunteer crews and lifeguards. Whether it’s a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate, every pound raised will go towards supporting the RNLI’s vital work around the UK and Ireland.
It’s easy to get involved – simply organise your event, invite friends, family or colleagues and host a cuppa for the crew! You can host your event wherever suits you best – whether that’s in the office with your team, at your favourite café, in a community hall, or even out in the park as part of a summer picnic.
Once you register, you’ll gain access to a whole range of fantastic resources to help you plan, prepare and ‘dress’ your event – from printable bunting and cake toppers to posters and invites.
In 2024 alone, RNLI lifeboats launched over 9,000 times, saving more than 350 lives, while RNLI lifeguards aided over 17,000 people. All of this is only possible thanks to the generosity of the public and fundraisers like you.
So, pop the kettle on, gather your crew, and help make a real difference.
RNLI Marketing Executive Claire Ralston said: ‘We are delighted to launch the Cuppa for the Crew campaign, and we’re really excited to get started.
‘Enjoying a cuppa with family and friends is one of life’s simple pleasures and being able to raise money for our brave RNLI crews while doing so makes it even better.’
If you’d like to host your own Cuppa for the Crew, it’s simple to do, just register online here.
