The Mobile Coastguard teams from Penmon had also been tasked to search as well as recovering the craft.

In view of the good visibility the lifeboat volunteers tasking was to undertake a search between Gallows point and the Britannia Bridge. As nothing was seen, the Coastguard released the lifeboat to return to station.

The lifeboat arrived back a 4.52 pm being refuelled and made ready for the next service call by 5.20 pm

The Deja- view feeling was because of a similar search undertaken on 8 September 2025 but this time involving an inflatable kayak.

A RNLI spokesperson said: ‘If your craft floats away and is unoccupied, please contact H.M. Coastguard to advise them, so that they are fully aware of the situation.’.
