Sligo Bay RNLI's volunteer crew to host annual Seafood Night in Strandhill
Sligo Bay RNLI's volunteers will be swapping their lifeboat kit for aprons as they take to the kitchen of the Strand Bar in Strandhill for their annual Seafood Night fundraiser on Friday, 10 October.
The volunteer crew of Sligo Bay RNLI have been serving up more than just delicious seafood over the years, they have been serving their community in saving lives at sea.
This year’s much loved Seafood Night returns to Strandhill and the crew invite everyone to enjoy a feast of fresh local seafood while supporting their lifesaving work. The proceeds of every ticket purchased will go directly towards training and equipping the volunteer crew, who are on call 24/7 to save lives at sea.
In the past year alone, Sligo Bay RNLI launched over 20 times, assisting and rescuing people in need along the coast.
Guests will enjoy a mouthwatering selection of seafood chowder and platters, prepared with the help of local chefs and the dedicated kitchen team. The event is a highlight of the Sligo social calendar, always drawing fantastic support from the local community and businesses.
Mark Ballentine from Sligo Bay RNLI said: 'We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from The Strand Bar and from our community. Every ticket sold will help power our lifesaving work at sea. We hope to see you there.'
