Hunstanton RNLI has vacancies for shore crew, who assist with the launch and recovery of its lifeboat and hovercraft.
It is also seeking launch vehicle drivers, who drive the powerful tractor used to launch and recover craft.
New launch authorities are also needed, who oversee daily crew levels and take charge of launches.
Candidates need to live within 10 minutes of the station and be willing to join its on-call rota to help maintain continuous cover 24/7, 365 days of the year.
No prior experience is needed as full training will be given for what can be demanding roles.
While all of the positions are unpaid, rewards include becoming part of the station's lifesaving team, learning new skills and forming new friendships.
If you're calm under pressure, a good team player and would like to make a real difference in our coastal community, we'd love to hear from you.
For an informal chat, visit the station on a Sunday morning (9am - 12 noon) when the crew train or e-mail [email protected].
Editor's Notes
Hunstanton lifeboat station operates the fast inshore lifeboat Spirit of West Norfolk and the search and rescue hovercraft Hunstanton Flyer.
The crew covers The Wash, a tidal estuary of some 200 square miles fed by five main rivers, along with parts of the north Norfolk coast.
Like more than 200 RNLI crews around the coast of the UK and Ireland, their lifesaving work would not be possible without the kindness of those who donate to the charity that saves lives at sea.
