One Crew update and launch of the 5-Year Plan
Hear about the ambitious plans for the RNLI over the next five years and beyond.
Please join me for my latest One Crew update, which this time was filmed at the All-weather Lifeboat Centre in Poole.
During the update, I officially launch the RNLI’s new 5-Year Plan entitled ‘One Crew, One Plan: RNLI 2026-30’ which sets out the ambitious plans for our charity over the next five years and beyond.
You can read the plan on the RNLI website by clicking this link to 'One Crew One Plan: RNLI 2026-30’.
Watch the latest One Crew update on YouTube (which has full subtitles available), or you can also play it at the end of this article.
If you prefer, you can also watch the video without background music.

Over the next fortnight there are a series of online regional webinars - which are listed below - during which I will join Heads of Region and members of the Executive and Regional Leadership Teams, to explain in greater detail what the 5-Year Plan will look like in each region.
The webinars are open to all volunteers and staff, and the majority of these hour-long online sessions will be an opportunity for you to ask questions to senior leaders at the RNLI about the things that matter most to you.
Register to attend by clicking the link to your chosen webinar below then following the prompts:
- South East - Monday 6 October, 6pm – 7pm
- Scotland - Tuesday 7 October, 6pm – 7pm
- South West - Thursday 9 October, 6.30pm – 7.30pm
- North & East - Monday 13 October, 6pm – 7pm
- Wales, West & Isle of Man - Tuesday 14 October, 6pm – 7pm
- Ireland - Wednesday 15 October, 6pm – 7pm
- Staff - Monday 13 October, 10am – 11am (hybrid with the option for those in Poole to attend in person)
Following the webinars, a series of more localised face-to-face sessions will take place between late October and the end of March next year, where members of the Executive Team and regional managers will talk in smaller groups and in more detail about your specific areas.
Information on when and where these are taking place will be available soon.
After watching my update, if you have any feedback, questions, ideas or require support in relation to the webinars, please email [email protected]
Thank you for everything you do for the RNLI. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the webinars.
