Save the date for the RNLI 5-Year Plan briefings
Advance notice of the upcoming regional briefings around the RNLI 5-Year Plan so volunteers and staff can save the dates.
Firstly, thank you all for your hard work and continued dedication to saving lives during what, I know, has been a busy summer for all our volunteers and staff. I hope that whatever you do for our charity, you have managed to find space to enjoy time with your friends and family.
I want to make you aware of the next series of briefings to bring you up to date with the ambitious plans for the RNLI over the next five years and beyond, and what it will mean for you, your colleagues and your team.
On Tuesday 30 September I will share my next One Crew video update outlining the future direction for our charity and how we plan to save even more lives at sea in the coming years.
Then over the following fortnight there will be a series of online webinars – listed below – during which I will join Heads of Region and members of the Executive and Regional Leadership Teams, to explain in more detail what the 5-Year Plan will look like in each region.
We have listened to feedback from volunteers and staff across the RNLI and the majority of these hour-long sessions will be a live question and answer session with no need to submit questions in advance. It is your opportunity to ask questions to senior leaders at the RNLI about the things that matter most to you. Please ensure that you have watched my One Crew update and reviewed One Crew, One Plan: RNLI 2026-30 (the 5-Year Plan) ahead of the webinars – links to view both will be shared on Volunteer Zone and Compass on Tuesday 30 September.
The regional webinars are open to all volunteers and staff and have been scheduled to allow as many people as possible to attend. There is also a staff-specific webinar.
Following the regional webinars a series of more localised face-to-face sessions will take place between October and March where members of the Executive Team and regional managers will talk in smaller groups and in more detail about your specific areas.
These are exciting times for the RNLI and we want the briefings to be as interactive as possible so please come along, listen and most importantly have your say.
Joining instructions for each webinar will be shared shortly.
Thank you for all you do for the RNLI and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the webinars.
Have a safe end to your summer.
Peter
