Chief Fundraising and Communications Officer
Jayne rejoined the RNLI crew in 2019 having previously worked for the charity between 2000 and 2008. Since her return, fundraising, marketing and media teams have been integrated. They are joined in the directorate by teams providing supporter and volunteer experience, events and processing. The directorate also supports the content, design, and editorial teams. Over the past six years, this integrated directorate has delivered significant growth in income, a steady hand on reputational management, and cost efficiencies for the organisation.
Jayne has had a successful 32-year (and counting) career in charity fundraising and is recognised as an example of great fundraising leadership internationally. She regularly gives lectures to fundraising conferences in the UK and Europe. She is focused on ensuring that the experience of the RNLI’s donors and supporters is second-to-none and leads to lifelong relationships with people who share her passion for our mission.
Outside of the RNLI, she volunteers as the Chair of Trustees for The Murray Parish Trust, a successful, small charity that is having a major positive impact on the lives of sick children across the South of England, and for the Macular Society that is running a successful fundraising campaign to beat Macular Disease. She is an active and passionate volunteer and campaigner, supporting causes close to her heart, and has completed several challenges to raise money and inspires others to do the same.
Jayne is a mother to three and has three grandchildren. To relax, she sings, walks with her husband, and practices yoga.
