Beer Lifeboat Weekend 18th Annual Duck Race Day

Come along to our Beer Lifeboat Weekend Annual Duck Race Day at Top Cliff, Jubilee Gardens and Fore Street, Beer

from 11am to 4pm on Top Cliff, Jubilee Gardens there will be Beer Coastguards, (Subject to operational requirements) Lyme Regis Water Safety, RNLI F2F, Duck Tombola and other duck themed stalls and activities.

2pm Visit and display by Lyme Regis and Exmouth Lifeboats. (subject to weather and operational requirements). Following the display a crew member from one of the lifeboats will come ashore to present the Duck Art prizes and start the first race. The Duck Art by pupils of Beer Primary School will be on display from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July and is to be judged by our chairman Kate Filby, Maria a member of the Lyme Regis Crew and a local artist.

3pm twelve heats of twenty yellow ducks will be racing down Beer Brook. The first and second ducks go into the Grand Final. The sponsor of the winning duck from each heat goes into the Grand Final and wins a prize donated by Beer and other local businesses.

New for 2025 is the Beer Sailing Club Novelty Duck Chase to be held after the main duck races. The winning and second duck will go into the Grand Final. Beer Sailing will also be hosting a Grandstand VIP Event and people can purchase a ticket for tea/coffee and cake and a grandstand view of the lifeboat display from the Beer Sailing Club balcony.
