Rye Harbour Lifeboat Station

Today’s lifeboat station at Rye Harbour operates an inshore Atlantic 85 lifeboat. During its 165-year history Rye Harbour saw one of the worst lifeboat disasters in the RNLI’s history when 17 crew lost their lives in 1928.
