The White Lady hotel golfers raise €2,415 for Kinsale RNLI
A four year old boy beat some of Ireland’s top golfers to win the raffle for a flag signed by Padraig Harrington the year he won the British Open at Carnoustie.
The raffle, which raised €2,415 for the RNLI, was organised by Anthony Collins of Kinsale’s White Lady Hotel to coincide with the annual White Lady Cup tournament, which takes place at The Old Head Golf Links.
Tomás Quigley from Beaumont, Cork was accompanied by his dad Cian when he collected his prize from Kinsale RNLI volunteers Jonathan Connor and Mark Cotter. Tomás' ticket was bought by his nanny, Chrissie Quigley of The Olde Bakery B&B, Kinsale.
Kinsale lifeboat helm Jonathan Connor said: “Congratulations to Tomás and nanny Chrissie, and thanks to all the golfers and others who dug deep to support the RNLI at a time when our fundraising opportunities are limited due to Covid restrictions. Every cent raised will go towards the vital work of saving lives at sea.”
