Beaumaris Lifeboat tasked to an incident by Caernarfon.
At 3.49 am on Sunday 8 June 2025 the volunteer crew members of the Beaumaris lifeboat received a page from H.M. Coastguard relating to a person seen entering the water at Caernarfon Wharf who then clambered aboard a moored vessel.
The volunteer crew of the Beaumaris Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington launched at 4.05 am into a calm night however with concerns if they would be able to approach the moored craft due to state of the tide.
Once at Caernarfon the lifeboat cautiously made an approach to the moored boat using a dip stick to check that there was sufficient water beneath the keel.
As a Mobile Coastguard Rescue Team had also been tasked and had the correct equipment to enter the water and reach the casualty they did so whilst the lifeboat remained nearby in case required.
Once the coastguards had recovered the casualty and placed him in the care of the Welsh Ambulance Service, the lifeboat was stood down.
The lifeboat returned to her station at Beaumaris at 5.42 am being washed down refuelled and made ready for her next service by 6.15 am when the volunteers went home.
