Happisburgh volunteers will be out to support local hero raise money for RNLI
Johnathon Jarvis, who is eight years old, will be taking on his second walk to raise money for the RNLI.
Last year he walked from his home in Upwell, Norfolk to Hunstanton Lifeboat Station. This year he is walking from Happisburgh Lifeboat Station, where his uncle is one of the station’s launch authorities and an RNLI Assessor. Over the four days he will walk around 52 miles to Hunstanton Lifeboat Station
Johnathon’s mother said: ‘My son Johnathon is taking on the huge challenge, starting on 29 May to walk from Happisburgh RNLI Station to Hunstanton RNLI Station over four days. Johnathon is only eight and has been fundraising for the RNLI since he was five. Last year was his first big challenge of walking from our home in Upwell, Norfolk to Hunstanton Station which is 42 miles and he raised £3150. We are very proud of Johnathon and wanted to share his efforts with you. Please feel free to look at Johnathon’s Facebook page for what he gets up to.’
This year he will be setting off from Happisburgh Station on Thursday 29 May and the first leg of his journey will see him arrive at Cromer.
Day 2 - visit Cromer RNLI Station and then set off to Blakeney via Sheringham.
Day 3 - leave Blakeney and head to Burnham Deepdale with a lunchtime stop at Wells RNLI Station.
Day 4 - plan to arrive at Hunstanton RNLI Station around lunchtime.
Johnathon will be leaving Happisburgh around 8.30am supported by the volunteers.
The station would like to thank Johnathon for all his efforts in raising funds for the RNLI. If possible, please give him your support.
