Thank you to our amazing volunteers: Powered by passion, talent and kindness
Volunteering Week in Ireland took place in May, and today is the start of Volunteers’ Week in the UK. Both weeks are a celebration of our volunteers’ commitment to saving lives at sea, day in, day out. Whatever your role and wherever you are, thank you to each and every one of our amazing, selfless volunteers for the incredible, lifesaving impact you’re making.
It’s a great time to say thank you and celebrate volunteers you know this Volunteers' Week. Share your thanks with volunteers via our online thank you wall, which can be accessed from the Recognition and Awards page.
If you are based near or visiting Poole, you might also notice this on our screens in our shops and at the RNLI College this week! This is a place where volunteers and staff members can share messages and photos to show their appreciation for the RNLI’s incredible, lifesaving volunteers.
Help to celebrate other fantastic volunteers by leaving a message.

New thank you cards!
We’re really excited to add a new range of thank you cards to our growing collection of volunteer recognition resources, with four new designs being available.
A Thank You Card Competition was held at the Poole Lifeboat Festival in May last year. Over 120 entries were received split into three age categories: 6 and under, 7 to 10, and 11+. It was great to see such engagement from the young entrants and awareness of the amazing work the RNLI does.
Following what was a very difficult judging process, nine winning designs were selected – three of which appear on individual cards, with the other six appearing on a montage card featuring all nine amazing designs. You can preview them in the image at the top of this article.
The new designs will soon be available to order from MyStore or you can contact [email protected]
You can use these cards to thank volunteers and supporters for their incredible dedication and commitment to the RNLI and we hope they bring them much joy.
