In 2024, we celebrated 200 years of lifesaving. Through a series of events, activities, media coverage and more, we paid tribute to the RNLI’s remarkable history and people – and paved the way for our future.

A remarkable milestone

None of this would have been possible without you, our incredible volunteers. Together, we commemorated our lifesaving past, celebrated our courageous lifesavers, and inspired a new generation of people to help power us into our third century.

Watch this video to see some of the highlights from 2024 – and learn more about the events and people that made our milestone year so special.
