Wells RNLI inshore lifeboat arrived on scene at 4:13pm and found the two people and their dogs on the sandbank. Checking they were unharmed and required no medical attention, the individuals and dogs were safely taken aboard the lifeboat and brought back to shore at the lifeboat station.
At 4:22 pm, the lifeboat was recovered and rehoused. It was refuelled and ready for service again by 4:30 pm.
